Easter
Greetings

Christ is risen! Alleluia!
He is risen indeed. Alleluia!

Today we celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ; the cosmic event, summoning us to joy, for He’s our Victorious King and He reigns forever. Yet, we are still in the season of turbulent storms of suffering as the pandemic of coronavirus spreading assails us with anxiety, fear, and powerlessness. Cities are locked down; churches and all public places prayers are closed down to limit infection rates and to save lives.

Dear Friends, let the resurrection of Jesus remind us of the great love God has for us. For our sake, Christ has taken upon Himself our pain and carried our suffering. He was pierced for our sins, crushed for our iniquity. He bore the punishment that makes us whole. By His wounds, we are healed. (Is 53:4)

The Lord is risen. He has conquered sin and death. Nothing in this world can defeat us. The power of the resurrected Lord will fill our life with meaning and purpose. Let the resurrection of Our Lord resurrect our bewildered and burden heart with great hope. He has said: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God; have faith also in me.” (Jn 14:1)

We are not alone in our suffering. He accompanies us in our distress, listens to our sorrow, and opens to us the words of scripture so that our heart would burn with love and our eyes would open to see Him in all events of our life, whether small or great, joyful or painful.

God’s dwelling is with the human race. We are His people, the sheep of His flock. He will wipe every tear from our eyes and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain. He will make all things new. (Rev 21:3-5)

Despite social distancing, isolation, no getting together for Easter worship and celebration, let our faith and hope soar high and unite in prayer to Our Risen Lord: Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Christ. Rest your weary ones. Bless your dying ones. Soothe your suffering ones. Pity your afflicted ones. Shield your joyous ones. And for all your love's sake. Amen.

This is the day that the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

We wish you a grace-filled Easter. May the Risen Lord watch over you and keep you safe.
