Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free
From our fears and sins release us
Let us find our rest in Thee.

The Lord is coming!
Today marks the beginning of Advent, the liturgical season of great anticipation and preparation for the coming of Our Lord Jesus.

Every year, the Church begins anew the liturgical cycle to awaken in us the memories of God’s goodness and love and to invite us to renew our mind and spirit to receive the Lord.  The prophet Isaiah cried out the way:

Prepare the way of the Lord,
make straight his paths.
Every valley shall be filled
and every mountain and hill shall be made low.
The winding roads shall be made straight,
and the rough ways made smooth,
and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Dear Friends, Advent is the time to make straight the way of the Lord.  For Him to enter into our lives more fully, we need to examine ourselves to see whether our choices and actions have been in harmony with God and others.

Please join us as we travel through Advent in prayer and good deeds to prepare our hearts for the Coming of Our Lord.

May The Lord fill the deep valleys of our limitation and lower the high mountains of self-will and pride that challenge us in our daily lives so that together, we can set out on the journey to meet Him. May the light of God’s love shine in our heart and transform  our lives so that we can touch those we meet and invite them to share in our joy at the coming of Our Lord.

We wish you a grace-filled Advent.
