January Winter Snow Storm
In January, a major winter snowstorm swept through the Midwest, bringing heavy snowfall and bitterly cold temperatures. The snow began falling on Saturday night, the 24th, and continued overnight into Sunday. Our monastery was blanketed with 7-8 inches of snow. The strong winds and freezing temperatures continued throughout the week.
When it stopped snowing, the nuns ventured out to clear the snow from the steps leading up to the chapel. They turned the task into a fun activity, and everyone enjoyed the beauty and tranquility of the winter landscape.
