of Advent2022

Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart."

The holy season of Advent has arrived upon us! 

Advent marks the beginning of the Church liturgical year.  It is a season of hope, prayer, and preparation for the coming of Our Lord Jesus. Throughout the season, the liturgy and hymns are filled with  profound expressions of longing and waiting for the promised Messiah: “Come, Lord Jesus!"    

Pope Francis recommended that during Advent, we should make a habit of saying "Come, Lord Jesus!" throughout the day. For prayer enkindles our hearts and turns our attention to God, the source of our lives.  

Let us prepare our hearts by watching and praying for the coming of Our Lord at Christmas.  May Our Blessed Mother accompany us on the journey of Advent.
