The Holy Season of Advent

Once again, we enter into the stillness of the Advent season, which is also a season of Hope.  It is a season of Hope because God sent His only Son into our world to be our Savior!

“And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5)

The four candles that we light during these Advent weeks symbolize hope, peace, joy, and love as we wait with anticipation for the birth of the Savior of our world.  They are the “candles” that we are invited to carry in our hearts during the Advent season and beyond so that we can become beacons of hope for others.

In the stillness of Advent, we wait with Mary, the Mother of Jesus and our Mother, in joyful hope for the birth of Jesus, the coming of our Savior into our world!

“The hope which never disappoints is Jesus Christ.”   Pope Benedict XVI

Wishing you a holy and blessed Advent!
